Elevated TimberTech Composite Deck, City View Neighborhood

This elevated deck project, located in the City View neighborhood of Eugene, showcases TimberTech composite decking in Sea Salt Grey, installed using a concealed lock hidden fastener system in the field for a smooth, screw-free surface. Along the perimeter, color-matched stainless steel screws were used to secure the boards cleanly while keeping the finish consistent throughout.

Below the deck, horizontal skirting was installed and color-matched to the decking above. This design has become a popular trend for elevated decks, as it allows for better airflow underneath the home, helping keep the space cooler while also keeping animals out from under the deck. A removable access hatch was built into the skirting, giving the homeowner easy access to the storage area below whenever it’s needed.

A powder-coated steel handrail completes the project, offering durability and safety without taking away from the open sightlines this deck was clearly built to take advantage of. With views out toward the surrounding hills, this space is set up to be a favorite spot to relax or entertain.
